  • 10 oz bag marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup dry strawberry cake mix (or any preferred flavor)
  • 56 cups rice krispie cereal
  • For icing: 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tsp water
  • Topping: gummy candy hearts

Instructions

  1. Grease a cupcake pan thoroughly.
  2. In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.
  3. Once melted, add marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
  4. Mix in the dry cake mix and remove from heat.
  5. Stir in rice krispies until coated in marshmallow mixture.
  6. Spoon into cupcake sections and lightly press down.
  7. Allow to cool completely before icing.
  8. For icing, beat together butter and shortening until smooth.
  9. Gradually mix in powdered sugar, followed by vanilla and water until desired consistency is reached.
  10. Decorate each cupcake with icing and top with gummy hearts.
