  • 1 pound diced beef steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (mixed colors)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook elbow macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (7-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add diced steak, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté bell peppers and onions until softened (4-5 minutes).
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in whole milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and shredded cheese until melted into a creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Combine cooked steak and macaroni with the cheese sauce in the skillet; mix gently to coat.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
