- 3 tablespoons Japanese kewpie mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1–2 teaspoons lime juice (to taste)
- Avocado (thinly sliced)
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Chives or scallions (minced)
- Jalapeño or serrano pepper (sliced)
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice until the water runs clear. Cook with water and salt according to instructions; let cool slightly.
- Mix cooked rice with vinegar, sugar, and sesame oil.
- Combine chopped ahi tuna with kewpie mayonnaise, Sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and lime juice in a bowl.
- Shape cooled rice into rectangles and fry in a pan until golden brown on both sides.
- Top each crispy rice piece with spicy tuna mixture and garnish with avocado slices, sesame seeds, chives, and jalapeños.
