  • 120ml honey
  • 80ml soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 60ml ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for thickening)
  • Optional: sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, and rice vinegar.
  2. Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  4. Remove chicken and stir cornstarch with water to make a slurry; add it to the remaining sauce.
  5. Cook on high for an additional 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  6. Shred the chicken using two forks and return it to the thickened sauce; mix well.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
