Ingredients

  • 14 oz ground pork
  • 1 egg
  • 2 small coriander roots
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup finely diced carrots
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
  • 2 dried shiitake mushrooms (soaked and chopped)
  • 3 tbsp golden mountain sauce
  • 1 pack dumpling wrappers
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a mortar and pestle, crush coriander roots, black peppercorns, and garlic until fine.
  2. Mix golden mountain sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and oyster sauce in a bowl.
  3. Combine ground pork, sauce mixture, egg, and cornstarch in a blender; pulse until smooth.
  4. Transfer to a bowl, add crushed spices and diced vegetables; mix well.
  5. Shape each dumpling using wonton wrappers by adding filling in the center and sealing edges.
  6. Steam lined with parchment paper for about 10 minutes until translucent.
