  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 24 ounces chocolate almond bark
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour and sugar, cut in softened butter until crumbly, then press into the pan.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes until golden; cool slightly.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter for caramel, add brown sugar, corn syrup, and condensed milk; stir until boiling, then cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Pour caramel over the cooled shortbread and allow it to set.
  6. After cutting into strips resembling Twix bars, melt chocolate bark with oil and dip each bar before placing on parchment to set.
