  • 8 slices ham
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1/4 inch and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer two slices of ham and two slices of Swiss cheese on each breast. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  4. Dredge the rolls in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. In an oven-safe skillet, heat butter over medium heat and brown the rolls on all sides.
  6. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
