Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly shredded Monterey jack cheese
- 1 cup freshly shredded pepper jack cheese

- ½ cup flour
- ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 cup plain bread crumbs
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Vegetable or canola oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheeses, diced jalapeños, and minced garlic until well mixed.
- In separate bowls, prepare the flour mixture by whisking together flour, salt, and pepper. Beat the eggs with water in another bowl. In a third bowl, mix bread crumbs with garlic powder and cayenne pepper.
