  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 cups quick-cook grits
  • 8 oz smoked Gouda cheese (shredded)
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup Half & Half
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil and add minced garlic.
  2. Stir in quick-cook grits and reduce heat to low; cook until thick and creamy (about 5 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat; mix in Gouda and cheddar until melted.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine grits with butter, Half & Half, beaten eggs, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until set and golden brown.
