  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup diced chicken ham
  • ½ cup chopped turkey bacon
  • ½ cup diced bell peppers
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Create a well in the center and add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with cloth, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare your fillings while the dough rises by mixing mozzarella cheese, chicken ham, turkey bacon, bell peppers, mushrooms, garlic powder, and oregano in a bowl.
  6. After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide into six equal portions. Roll each into a circle (approximately 6 inches).
  7. Spoon filling onto one half of each circle and fold over to seal edges using a fork.
  8. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
  10. Cook calzones in batches for about 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
